Q: What is ECU Tuning?
A: ECU Tuning refers to modifyting an automobile, motorcycle, boat, or personal water crafts electronic control unit to achieve superior performance, wheather it be more power, celaer emissions, or better fuel economy.
Q: What can I expect?
A: A new driving experience. Expect the vehicle to perform the way you wanted it to, or better, from the factory. A 25% increase in power is not uncommon, pending fuel octane rating and condition of the vehicle. Larger gains can be expected for turbo/diesel vehicles.
Q: What else does this do?
An increase in fuel ecomony, smoother shift patterns, and increased throttle response. To achieve this, we create a smooth, and linear power band from idle up to redline. Also expect increased low-end toqrue for off-the-line- accelleration and towing.
Q: Will I pass emmissions?
A: Absolutely, all 50 states.
Q: Will I void my factory warranty?
A: No, the software changes are undetectable until you drive the vehicle.
Q: Why is this sold in stages?
A: As the power increases are so dramatic, some levels of performance require additional parts such as an air intake or custom exhaust. The engine will not be able to product the power the ECU was designed to generate if it can not get the air in and the burnt gasses out.
Q: How long does this take?
A: This is an overnight process. Some locations have the ability to tune, with AMR created software, on-site.
Q: I can buy a "XYZ" brand tuner for $500, why should I do this?
A: The over-the-counter "chip" or "tuners" are made for mass distribution and support. They do not modify and perfect the same number of fuel tables as we do.
